大きな照明を足元の本棚から伸びる一本の細い鉄の柱で支え、その下にロングコートをかけられるようなコート掛けを考えました。照明は仕上げを手で施し周囲への光環境の変化を作っています。構造を安定させるために周囲にはケブラー糸という十分に強く、身体にも馴染む素材を用いています。 照明の高さは住宅の天井ギリギリの、コートを掛けたときには巨人が立っているような気配がするものを考えました。 異なる用途が相互に関係しながら積み重なっている様は私達が暮らしている街のようでもあると考えています。

I designed a Hunger rack that stretches from the bookshelf at the foot of the room, supported by a single thin iron post and with a long coat draped over it.
